CAASS Admin is the application used for the administration of CAASS and its suite of software.
The Student Module allows a display of collected and imported data on a specific student within CAASS. The data available is both current and historic, which allows the operator to research a particular student’s record at any given time or date across multiple modules in CAASS.
The Student Module contains Twelve Sub-Modules
Features
- Allows parents or guardians to opt-in to be alerted by E-mail or Text Message notifications when their child arrives at school,
exits school, is tardy to school, cuts a class and may more options .
- Allows teachers and administrators to easily look up student demographic information or guardian contact
information
- Add additional contacts that are not available in the district Student Information System

- Displays all of a student's discipline history
- Allows staff members to email a student’s parent or guardian about a student’s
disciplinary action or history while easily mail-merging the data
- Mail-merge to a letter to send information about a student’s discipline history or an individual record
- Add or edit infractions and penalties for students
- Print, sort or save all of a student’s discipline history

- Allows administrators to filter the scan history by mode (Entry, Exit, Access, Event, Meal,
Time Scan), date range, result of the scan (On-time, Tardy, Denied, etc.), whether an alert was associated
with the scan or if the student was manually entered into school (without ID card)
- Print a report that depicts a student's or students' history
- Use filtered results to create a Group for easier management of creating incidents, fines or Merits
Demerits
The Groups Module
Groups allow administrators to add students into groups by name, or their scan history and assign
them mass incidents, Merits/Demerits or fines. In addition the Groups Module allows administrators
to use current and historical scan records, attendance records, and suspensions to customize their
own static groups.
Why use the Groups Module
- Groups make school management easier by allowing mass status changes to students
- Dynamic Groups provide a way for schools to query the system
